AI Transformation
AI must unlock, not inhibit, human potential
The internet has become a terrible place littered with toxicity and disinformation. Social media is fueling the loneliness epidemic - responsible for driving heightened anxiety, poor sleep quality, and low self-esteem in children - and further dividing an already fractured society. We have fundamentally lost the human aspect that once made the internet so great in its ability to democratize access to information and fuel creativity. The technological unlocks of generative AI gives us the opportunity to usher in the second golden age of the internet and reimagine the way we interact with software.
The pace at which we can build has now skyrocketed. AI will also both enhance (some) existing products and enable completely de-novo experiences. We still believe in the fundamental idea of “jobs to be done” and that AI can expand what software can deliver “as a service.” We know that AI can fundamentally disrupt so much of the work and services done by humans today – in their own lives and in their professional lives – subsuming mundane work and making us “superhumans”. We expect to see business models shift from consumption or seat-based SaaS pricing to ones focused on delivering outcomes. The combination of proprietary data sets and unique insights on user experience will be critical in creating the next generation of great software.
